Geese

Geese is a rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2016 while the band members were in high school together. Not long ago, they practiced in a basement studio with sneakers as microphone stands and blankets over their amps — today they are considered by many to be one of the most exciting bands in the world.

The music combines influences from Led Zeppelin and classic art rock with modern post-punk, and frontman Cameron Winter's voice is hard to place — it can go from whispered melancholy to expressive outbursts in seconds. Their latest album, Getting Killed from 2025, was shaped by long jam sessions with an emphasis on rhythmic repetition, jarring textures, and unconventional song structures — and was named the best album of the year by both The New Yorker and Stereogum.
